Frequently Asked Questions

Below are few FAQs which we feel you would be having as per our experience regarding this service

1 Do I need to file an Income Tax Return if my tax is already deducted?

Yes. TDS deduction does not replace Income Tax Return filing. If your income exceeds the basic exemption limit or you want to claim a refund, filing ITR is mandatory. It is also essential for loans, visas, and maintaining financial credibility.

2 I am filing Income Tax Return. Do I also need to take GST registration?

Not necessarily. Income Tax and GST are separate compliances. GST registration is required only if your business turnover crosses the prescribed limit or if you fall under mandatory GST registration categories such as inter-state supply or e-commerce sales.

3 I don’t have a PAN yet. Can I get GST, TDS, or file Income Tax Returns?

No. PAN is compulsory for Income Tax filing, GST registration, and TDS registration. You must apply for PAN first, after which all other tax registrations and compliances can be completed smoothly.

1 What type of business entity should I choose?

The right business structure depends on your nature of business, turnover, number of owners, compliance comfort, and future growth plans. Common options include Proprietorship, Partnership, LLP, and Private Limited Company. Choosing the correct entity at the start helps with tax efficiency, legal protection, and scalability.

2 Can I set up a business from my home?

Yes. You can legally register and operate a business from your residential address. Most registrations such as Proprietorship, LLP, and Private Limited Company allow home addresses, subject to basic address proof and local regulations.

3 Can I register my business in India and abroad?

Yes. Indian residents and companies can set up businesses in India and also establish entities abroad, subject to FEMA and RBI guidelines. Proper structuring is important to ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and foreign exchange laws.

1 I am an individual. What compliances do I need to follow?

An individual’s compliances depend on income and business activity. The key compliances generally include filing an annual Income Tax Return, payment of advance tax if applicable, GST registration and returns where turnover or nature of work requires it, TDS compliance if liable to deduct tax, and maintaining basic books of accounts and supporting records.

2 I run a company. What compliances do I need to follow?

A company has structured and mandatory compliances under the Companies Act and tax laws. These include ROC filings such as annual returns and financial statements, board meetings and statutory registers, Income Tax returns and tax audits if applicable, GST returns, TDS returns, and timely statutory payments. Companies also need proper bookkeeping and periodic professional certification.

3 From a compliance point of view, which is better – Company or LLP?

From a compliance perspective, an LLP is simpler and involves fewer ongoing compliances compared to a company. Companies have stricter reporting, audit, and governance requirements, while LLPs offer limited liability with comparatively lower compliance costs. However, companies are often preferred for scalability, funding, and investor confidence. The better option depends on your business goals and compliance capacity.

1 I run a small business. Do I need CFO services?

Yes, even small businesses can benefit from CFO services. If you are facing issues with cash flow, pricing, profitability, budgeting, or financial planning, a CFO helps you make informed decisions. You get strategic financial guidance without the cost of hiring a full-time CFO.

2 Are CFO services compulsory in India?

No. CFO services are not compulsory under Indian law. However, businesses above a certain size are required to maintain proper financial controls, audits, and reporting. CFO services help ensure compliance, financial discipline, and growth readiness, even though they are not legally mandatory.

3 What benefits can a business get from a Virtual CFO?

A Virtual CFO provides expert financial leadership at a fraction of the cost. Key benefits include improved cash flow management, accurate financial reporting, better budgeting and forecasting, strategic tax planning, investor-ready financials, and support in business growth and funding decisions.

1 What are the different ways to invest in India?

In India, investors can choose from multiple options based on risk appetite and goals. Common investment avenues include mutual funds, equities, fixed deposits, bonds, NPS, PPF, insurance-linked investments, real estate, and alternative investments. The right mix depends on your time horizon, income, and financial objectives.

2 Do you provide guaranteed returns on investments?

No. As an investment advisory firm, we do not offer guaranteed returns. Investment returns depend on market performance and economic conditions. Our role is to recommend suitable investment strategies aligned with your risk profile and financial goals, while ensuring transparency and compliance.

3 Can my money be doubled in one year?

Doubling money in one year is highly unlikely without taking very high risk. Such returns are usually associated with speculative or unregulated investments. We focus on realistic, long-term, and goal-based investment planning rather than short-term promises.

1 Insurance is for wealthy people only. I don’t need any insurance, right?

No. Insurance is meant to protect everyone, not just wealthy individuals. It safeguards your income, family, health, and assets against unexpected events. Without insurance, even a small financial setback can create long-term financial stress.

2 My business does not need any insurance. I already have life insurance.

Life insurance protects you and your family, not your business. Businesses face risks such as property damage, legal liabilities, employee-related risks, and business interruption. Business insurance helps protect the company’s finances and continuity, which life insurance alone cannot cover.

3 What is the difference between Life Insurance and Keyman Insurance?

Life insurance is taken to financially protect the family of the insured person. Keyman Insurance is taken by a business to protect itself against financial loss arising from the death or disability of a key employee, director, or founder who is critical to the business.

1 Can I get a loan in a few hours?

In some cases, yes. Certain personal loans and pre-approved business loans can be sanctioned within a few hours if documentation, credit profile, and eligibility are in order. However, most business and secured loans take a few working days depending on verification and approval processes.

2 Are loans provided only against property or assets?

No. Loans can be both secured and unsecured. While some loans require collateral such as property or machinery, many options like unsecured business loans, working capital loans, and personal loans are available based on creditworthiness and cash flow.

3 What kinds of business loans are available?

Businesses can choose from various loan options based on their needs, including working capital loans, term loans, unsecured business loans, overdraft and cash credit facilities, equipment or machinery loans, invoice discounting, and MSME or government-backed loans.

1 What are Allied Services and why are they important for a business?

Allied services are support services that help businesses stay compliant, organised, and operationally efficient. These include registrations, licenses, documentation, certifications, and regulatory support that go beyond core accounting and tax filings but are equally critical for smooth business functioning.

2 Do small businesses and startups really need Allied Services?

Yes. Even small businesses and startups require multiple allied services at different stages, such as shop act registration, MSME registration, professional tax, labour law registrations, and periodic documentation. Proper support helps avoid penalties, delays, and operational disruptions.

3 Can Allied Services be managed along with accounting and compliance?

Yes. Managing allied services along with accounting, tax, and compliance ensures better coordination and reduces errors. It also saves time, improves compliance accuracy, and allows business owners to focus on growth rather than paperwork.
